Masala Rice

Hello,
          Readers, so here I am with my first recipe, Masala Rice. I hope you guys are ready with Ingredients as I have already mentioned them in my previous blog. In case you didn’t read, I am mentioning them once again.

Masala Rice Ingredients:-
Rice                                                                                         250 gram
Mustard Oil          (Sarso oil)                                                  3 table spoon
Red chili powder (lal mirch powder)                                      1 tea spoon
Fenugreek seeds   (Methi dana)                                              ½ tea spoon
Ginger Garlic Paste                                                                 1 ½ tea spoon
Maggie bhuna masala                                                              1 packet
Turmuric                                                                                  ½ tea spoon
Salt                                                                                           according to your taste
Peas                       (matar) (Optional)                                     ½ cup or as much as you like
Soya chunks          (Optional)                                                 ½ cup or as much as u like





Cooking Method:-

                        (If you are using Soya chunks in this recipe, first of all please boil Soya chunks in hot water till they get soften, then strain and wash them in running cold or normal water.)

Step 1- Put pressure cooker on medium flame with 3 table spoon of mustard oil.



Step 2- When its light smoking hot, quickly add ½ teaspoon fenugreek seeds and 1 ½ tea spoon Ginger Garlic paste then stir, it will crackle loudly. (Beware from Sprinkle of ginger garlic paste)





Step 3- Now add whole packet of Maggie bhuna masala, 1 teaspoon red chili powder or according to your taste, and ½ tea spoon turmeric powder, now stir again for 1 minute




Step 4- Add ½  cup  peas, ½  cup boiled soya chunks or any of them you like, if u are not interested to add both, you can directly add washed rice and salt.




Step 5- Mix all the ingredients very well then add 350 ml water and put the lid on the pressure cooker.




Step 6- One whistle and its ready. Now open the lid as soon as pressure got down and serve hot.


Tip:- If you want to make this recipe a bit more Rich and Moisturized, use ½ cup milk with 1 table spoon of milk cream( house hold) just before you put lid on pressure cooker. Believe me you will get heavenly taste and unbeatable satisfaction.


                              You can use Pudina Raita or Masala Chhanchh as side dish.
